About Margie Bowen - Webscape Design & Consulting, LLC

Hi, again!

I don't know about you, but I like to get to know someone a bit before I work with them. If you're considering working with me you may want to learn more about who I am by reading more on this page.

That way when you're ready for a new or updated website, want to get found more often in searches, or need someone to care for your website, you'll already know who to call.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you and having the opportunity to learn about the online needs of your business and how I can help your business thrive on the web.

Margie, Head Webscaper

Cyclist and Dog Lover

About Margie Bowen - Webscape Design & ConsultingI’m a cyclist with a passion for mountain biking. I’m also a certified mountain bike instructor so on the weekends during the warmer months I'm often out on the trails in and around Burlington, Connecticut  and New England where I coach riders in safe and proper riding skills.

My dog, “Bella”, is my constant companion both in the office and on the trails. A Bassett Hound and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix from Louisiana, my husband and I call her our “Bassahoula”. She runs like the wind and she’s the sweetest thing ever!

I'm involved with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce as a Director on the Board and am a member of a couple business networking groups for women. I've  also found that I enjoy speaking and giving web-related presentations to local organizations and networking groups.

Margie Bowen the Computer Geek

Most of my life I’ve been a computer geek and had jobs with software companies. And when I wasn’t working for a software company, I was still a geek in the company’s IT department. However, becoming self-employed was the best thing I’ve ever done and I never plan to go back because I feel like I can make a real difference in people’s lives now.

I enjoy working with small business owners, learning more about their businesses and, ultimately, helping them grow by developing their online presence. With 95 percent  of Americans owning cell phones and having instant access to the web, it’s more important than ever to keep websites up to date with technology.

There’s no sense spending money on a pretty website if it’s not going to bring you any business. If your site isn’t optimized for search engines to get the best search results, it’s not likely to be seen. The companies that get the online business are on page 1 of the search results. My objective is to build your site and optimize it in such a way that it sends you the leads that you turn into customers. It’s a win-win situation; it’s rewarding for both of us!
